Why a sex education program?

After several years of providing services to northern communities, we realized that there was a significant lack of sexuality education adapted to their reality. Inuit youth face unique challenges, and it's essential that the information they receive respects their culture, lifestyle and specific needs. It was with this in mind that we initiated this project, in order to co-create, with the communities, a program that resembles them and offers them concrete guidelines for their well-being and development.

With the financial support of the Regroupement des intervenants en matière d'agression sexuelle (RIMAS), we are currently carrying out a literature review and needs identification to better understand the issues, challenges and relevant approaches.
